Storage Management
13.1 Overview
The Storage Management module allows you to manage physical and virtual locations where inventory is stored and sales operations occur. This includes main stores, branches, warehouses, and virtual (online) stores.
Key Features:
- Create and manage multiple store locations
- Define store types (Main, Branch, Warehouse, Virtual)
- Track store contact information
- Activate/deactivate stores
- Assign users to specific stores
13.2 Store Types
| Type | Badge Color | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Main Store | Primary | Primary business location, main headquarters |
| Branch | Secondary | Secondary retail or service locations |
| Warehouse | Outline | Storage-only facilities, no retail operations |
| Virtual | Destructive | Online/e-commerce or non-physical store |
13.3 Creating a Store
Store Form Fields:

| Store Name | Yes | Descriptive name (e.g., "Main Store", "Branch 1") |
| Store Code | Yes | Unique identifier (e.g., "MS01", "BR01") - auto-uppercased |
| Store Type | Yes | Main , Branch, Warehouse, or Virtual StoreStore |
| Location/Area | Yes | Location description (e.g., "Westlands", "CBD") |
| Street Address | No | Full street address |
| City | No | City name |
| Country | No | Country name |

13.4 Business Rules
Store Code Rules:
- Must be unique across all stores
- Automatically converted to uppercase
- Cannot be changed after store creation
Store Status Rules:
- New stores are created as Active by default
- Inactive stores can be reactivated at any time
- Status can be toggled directly from the table
13.5 Integration with Other Modules
Inventory Module:
- Stock levels are tracked per store
- Stock transfers can be made between stores
POS Module:
- POS sessions are associated with specific stores
- Cash register tracking is store-specific
User Management:
- Users can be assigned to stores
- Store assignment affects access to data
Sales & Invoicing:
- Invoices can be generated from specific store locations
- Store information appears on invoices
